The driver of a tractor trailer sustained minor injuries after his semi overturned on Matt Highway.
Forsyth County Fire Division Chief Jason Shivers said the single-vehicle accident happened around 3:30p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
"Forsyth County Fire and Forsyth County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle accident including a tractor trailer that was overturned on Matt Highway in northern Forsyth County just west of the Highway 9/Coal Mountain intersection,." Shivers explained.
He described the truck as, "a tanker style tractor trailer. It is fully loaded and we've confirmed with the trucking company that it is nothing hazardous."
Deputies closed the road in both directions during the afternoon commute while trying to upright the truck and salvage the load inside the tank.
No word yet on if the driver will face any charges.
