A young bicyclist suffers life-threatening injuries from a collision with a pickup truck in Elbert County.
Georgia State Patrol said the 5-year-old from Elberton was riding out from a private residence driveway along Bells Ferry Road after 5:30 p.m. Thursday when the child entered the path of a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado truck.
Authorities say the child's bicycle collided with the truck. The child was life-flighted from the accident scene to Greenville Medical Center in South Carolina for serious injuries.
No charges or citations have been filed as the case remains under investigation.
