Officials in Sugar Hill have released the tentative concept plans for a new "passive park" coming along the Ga. 20 corridor.
The plans (see photos) call for a number of features, including a central pond with a fountain and fishing area, trail system, disc golf course and outdoor classroom, among others.
The trail system in the concept plan would include paved and unpaved sections.
The 22-acre park will sit on a parcel of land near the Chattahoochee River and Sugar Ridge Drive, according to city documents.
City council members officially annexed the land in February.
Paul Radford, city manager, said at the time the land was annexed that city leaders were looking to make a park similar to Suwanee's Sims Lake Park, which also features a trail system surrounding a pond.
