GAINESVILLE - The murder trial for one of two men charged in the death of a Gainesville man a year ago at the victim's West Avenue home is expected to continue Wednesday morning at 9:00.

Lashan Tanner's co-defendant, Rodnie Maurice Stokes, pleaded guilty last week to a reduced charge of voluntary manslaughter and was given a 40-year sentence, with 20 to serve behind bars. Authorities have said Tanner and Stokes fatally shot Cedric Huff after going to Huff's home to buy marijuana.

Tanner is charged with murder, armed robbery and attempting to buy marijuana. His trial began Monday in Hall County Superior Court with jury selection.  Opening arguments and the first witnesses were heard Tuesday.
