Hall County authorities recently partnered with U.S. Homeland Security to confiscate more than $750,000 worth of illegal drugs from a man living southeast of Gainesville.

Hall County Sheriff's Office Spokesman Derreck Booth said Daniel Zeick Hernandez, age 36, was arrested last Thursday after investigators found drugs at his home on Wallace Road. The drugs were also found in a storage unit on nearby Harmony Church Road in Hernandez's name.

"(Investigators) were able to find about 65 pounds of marijuana, 450 THC edibles, as well as 60 ounces of THC oil and 2,800 grams of THC moon rocks," Booth said. "They also found 11 THC vapes and 18 grams of psilocybin."

Booth said authorities also seized five firearms, two vehicles and roughly $156,000 in cash.

Hernandez was booked into the Hall County Jail where he remains without bond as of Monday afternoon. He faces six felony charges including trafficking marijuana and possession of psilocybin.

Booth said no other arrests are expected in the case, but the investigation remains open.
