Kennesaw man arrested in Hall County, found with $45K worth of marijuana

A Kennesaw man was arrested Monday afternoon after deputies with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office found him in possession of over 18 pounds of marijuana.

Truc Van Bui, 27, of Kennesaw, was arrested by deputies during an investigation that took place in a parking lot in the 5800 block of Spout Springs Road in Flowery Branch, according to information provided by spokesman Derreck Booth.

Bui was the subject of a multi-agency investigation effort, including units with the HCSO Special Investigations Unit, Homeland Security Investigations and the Georgia State Patrol.

Bui has reportedly been charged with trafficking marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and felony possession of marijuana.

During the search of Bui’s vehicle, investigators found approximately 18 pounds of marijuana in the trunk, with an estimated street value of $45,000.

Bui was transported to the Hall County Jail where he remains without bond as of the last report.
