The 45th annual Bicycle Ride Across Georgia (BRAG) is in its final third of the week-long event and has reached northeast Georgia.
Riders began Thursday in Dawsonville and will wind their way through the north Georgia mountains through Dahlonega and parts of Hall County before finishing the stage in Clarkesville.
BRAG began on May 31 in Rome and will conclude on Saturday in Hartwell.
The event lets cyclists embark on a week-long journey, averaging about 55 miles per day. The routes change each year and are designed to offer views of Georgia's countryside.
BRAG provides SAG (support and gear) support and well-stocked rest stops every 12-18 miles.
Organizers also have planned events every night along the route, including concerts, DJs, and festivals.
