Following a shooting last month in Gainesville, a second suspect has been arrested.
According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), the incident happened at Biscayne Place.
23-year-old Mekhi Jebron Ellison had already been jailed on aggravated assault charges, and now faces charges of armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
A second suspect, 18-year-old Tristan Anthony Mize, was arrested on Wednesday on charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault.
The investigation determined both men were at the scene on May 28, the day of the shooting.
Ellison was reportedly armed with a handgun and confronted 42-year-old Josheau Kiera Hester with the intention of robbing him. Ellison and Mize then fled the scene after Ellison shot and wounded Hester.
Ellison was arrested June 3 in Oakwood. Mize was at-large until this week.
Hester was arrested on outstanding drug warrants after his release from the hospital and all three men remain in the Hall County Jail without bond.
