Heavy overnight thunderstorms leaves hundreds without power Thursday morning

FINAL UPDATED OUTAGE LISTINGS as of Thrusday, June 26, @ 8:50 a.m.:

There was a significant number of utility customers dealing with power outages in northeast Georgia from the severe thunderstorms during the late night hours of Wednesday.

As far as power outages, there were over 2-thousand customers reporting issues in northeast Georgia after 9:30 p.m.Wednesday night throughtout several energy cooperatives' outage maps.

Here is a list by service provider with reported outages listed by county customers as of 6:00 a.m. Thursday:

Jackson EMC:  84 (Banks Co. 80, Hall Co. 1, Lumpkin Co. 3)

Habersham EMC: 1 (White Co. 1.)

Georgia Power: Approximately 280  (Habersham Co. 43  Hall Co. 225,  Jackson Co. 5)

Blue Ridge EMC: 7 (Towns Co. 7)

Hart EMC: 1 (Stephens Co. 1)

Sawnee EMC: 1 (Fulton Co. 1)
