A Gainesville man was arrested Monday after he allegedly held a woman and her child against their will all day Sunday until noon Monday at a home on East Ridge Road in Gainesville.
The Hall County Sheriff's Office said during that time Marco Bravo Perez, 24 allegedly inflicted physical harm on the woman, leaving marks and bruises on her body.
The alleged assaults occurred in the presence of the child.
Perez is charged with two counts of false imprisonment, two counts of battery under the Family Violence Act, simple assault and third-degree child cruelty.
He remains in The Hall County Jail with no bond.
