Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) recently announced in a Facebook post that Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Gainesville was named the No. 1 hospital in the state north of Atlanta and the No. 3 hospital overall in the state.
The ranking comes from U.S. News and World Report, whose ranking saw NGMC Gainesville ranked in the top-three behind Emory University Hospital and Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital, both in Atlanta.
“This honor belongs to our staff and volunteers, whose exceptional care and dedication touch the lives of our patients and their families every day,” the health system said in the post. “We’re deeply grateful for the trust our community places in us to care for you and your loved ones.”

6. WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta
