Search near Alto nets drug trafficking arrest

Habersham County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators on Friday arrested an Alto man on drug trafficking charges.

Johnathan Maxwell Venziano, 34, is charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute meth, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

The arrest occurred during the search of the home of an individual on active probation.

During the search, narcotics investigators located about 4 ounces of meth, 10 ounces of marijuana, digital scales and plastic baggies.

On Friday, Habersham County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators responded to 185 Alonzo Wade Road, Alto, Georgia in reference to a request for assistance. The request was in reference to a search of the residence of an individual on active probation.

During the search, narcotics investigators located approximately 4 ounces of methamphetamine, digital scales, and plastic baggies. Additionally, investigators located approximately 10 ounces of marijuana.

Johnathan Maxwell Venziano (34 years of age of Alto, GA) was placed under arrest and transported to the Habersham County Jail.

Venziano was charged with 1 count of Trafficking Methamphetamine, 1 count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, and 1 count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana.
