A new candidate has announced her intention to run for Hall County Clerk of Courts in 2024 following Tuesday's announcement that current Clerk Charles Baker is retiring.
Chris Slate formally announced her candidacy for Clerk of Courts of the Hall County Court System Wednesday morning.
The owner of Southern Realty has been in real estate sales and marketing for 30 years. Slate believes the court system is the final appeal over property tax matters and that she has the awareness and knowledge needed to serve in the position.
Slate seeks the seat that will open when Baker retires at the end of this year. Baker has held the seat in Hall County since 2008.
