Dawson County Officials announce grand opening of Dawson County Recycling Center

The Dawson County Transfer Station announced the grand opening celebration for the Dawson County Recycling Center will take place Tuesday, October 3 at 9:30 a.m.

The public is invited to the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the facility located at 946 Burt Creek Road in Dawsonville Dawson County Officials said.

The Dawson County Recycling Center will offer source-separated recycling of Plastic #1, Plastic #2, Plastic #2 Natural and Aluminum. Bins will be labeled to help citizens determine what is and is not acceptable for each compactor.

The facility will be open 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and closed Sunday and Monday. 

Dawson County Authorities said the recycling center is dedicated to protecting and improving the environment by providing high-quality recycling and refuse services.
