Three arrested following drug seizure in Dawson County

Three people were recently arrested following a search in Dawsonville conducted by the Lanier Regional Drug Task Force. 
 
The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office shared on social media that deputies had received tips that James “Guy” Sanders had allegedly been selling large amounts of methamphetamine from a location on Dawson Forest Road. Investigators then performed a control purchase from James, resulting in obtaining a search warrant. 
 
The task force reportedly seized 125 grams of meth and THC wax during the execution of the warrant. Authorities also found distribution material, smoking devices and  several firearms. Over $700 was also seized in the search. 
 
James was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of drug-related objects. Kay Sanders was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of Schedule I THC.
 
 Additionally, Tia Grindle, a wanted subject out of Lumpkin County, was located at the residence. Grindle was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of Schedule I THC, possession of drug-related objects, and wanted person located.
 
The Lanier Drug Task Force is made up of officers from agencies in  Dawson, Forsyth, Milton, and Johns Creek.
