Six people arrested in Dawson County drug bust

Six people were arrested after a drug bust in Dawson County at the end of December. The arrests came after an investigation into drug sales out of a home on Goldmine Rd.

According to information released Wednesday from the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office, a search warrant was issued after a length investigation by the Crime Suppression Unit. While there they found evidence that the individuals were distributing methamphetamine and marijuana. The individuals face distribution and possession charges for both those drugs.

They also charged the individuals with Disorderly House. While there, deputies found over 100 different animals living in deplorable conditions. Dawson County Animal Control took custody of the animals. With the help of the Dawson County Human Society, the report says they are hopeful the animals can be nursed back to health.
