A missing 10-year-old boy was found safe in Commerce Saturday. His kidnapper has been arrested.
Last Thursday, Madison County Police were alerted about the kidnapping. An investigation revealed that the suspect had connections in Commerce.
Two days after his disappearance, the Commerce Police Department was notified that the pair could possibly be at the Jackson Hills Apartment Complex. Police were able to immediately respond and quickly found the juvenile in the apartment complex, along with his kidnapper. They arrested the suspect, who has not been identified. Authorities have not said what connection the suspect had with the 10-year-old.
Both the young boy and his kidnapper were turned over to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, who said the boy was safely reunited with his family.
