A Commerce man was charged with trafficking methamphetamine following a traffic stop in Franklin County earlier in the week.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said via social media a deputy conducted the stop Wednesday on a Ford F-250 for expired registration. During the stop, the driver, Steven Roberts, admitted to being on felony probation and being in possession of drug related objects.
The deputy then performed a search of the vehicle, reportedly finding 30 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
Roberts was transported to the Franklin County Detention Center. In addition to trafficking charges, he faces charges of possession and use of drug related objects and expired registration.
