The Dawson County Sheriff's Office has identified an inmate found dead inside his jail cell earlier this week as 18-year-old Jonathan Sanford. No cause of death has been determined. The GBI is still investigating.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been called in to investigate the death of an inmate in the Dawson County Detention Center.
According to the Dawson County Sheriff's Office Facebeook page, while conducting a routine check, an officer found the inmate unresponsive in his cell.
The identity of the man has not been released.
The GBI confirmed via email it has been asked to investigate the death, but offered no other details.
