A Loganville man remained on the loose at last report, wanted for the murder of a Buford woman Thursday in Barrow County.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene on Ga. 124 with a report of a woman who had fallen on a knife, and a found Kellie Roop, 42, with a knife wound to her neck, said Barrow County Sheriff's Capt. Cory Almond in a statement.

Roop was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Investigators later determined that Roop did not fall on a knife, but was attacked.

Almond identified the suspect as Ethan Andrew Ramey, 29, of Loganville, who is wanted on charges of felony murder and aggravated assault. He is said to be six-feet tall, weighing 225 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.

Ramey is known to frequent the Hoschton area of Barrow County, and anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Investigator Chris Jackson with the Barrow County Sheriff's Office at (770) 307-3080, ext. 4643.

Roop and Ramey were apparently involved in a romantic relationship.
