The Gwinnett County Police Department sent out a release Friday morning stating that back on May 15, Lucas Costea, age 18 of Buford, was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail for alleged crimes against a child.
Gwinnett County Jail records indicate that Costea was arrested on charges of aggravated child molestation and aggravated sexual battery. He was released from the jail on Wednesday, June 4 on over $21,000 bond.
Gwinnett County Police's Special Victims Unit is asking anyone who may have been a victim or has additional information related to this case to come forward and contact investigators at 770-513-5300.
"Detectives are aware that this individual may have been involved with a youth organization," the police department said.
No further details on the allegations against Costea were released by the police department as of Friday morning.
