FLOWERY BRANCH — The Flowery Branch girls tennis team blanked Gainesville, 5-0 on Thursday in Flowery Branch.
The Lady Falcons (11-1) won in straight sets.
Annabelle Thomas won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, while Olivia Nance won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. Alyssa McSpadden also won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.
Olivia Correa and Brenna Martin notched a 7-5, 6-3 victory at No. 1 doubles, and Alicia Quast and Kendalle Quast prevailed 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.

The Trojans (4-5, 2-1 Region 7-AAA) claimed the region win on Thursday.
North Hall's Masa Kobayashi and East Hall's Josh Serrano battled at No. 1 singles, but Kobayashi prevailed 4-6, 6-3, 6-2. Meanwhile, Christian Boychuk won 6-0, 6-0 No. 2 singles, and Kody Dills won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.
In doubles play the Trojans' No. 1 team of Ethan Surles/Forrester Terry won 6-0, 6-4, and the No. 2 team of Jonathan Elder/Brantley Moore dominated 6-0, 6-0.
North Hall travels to Blessed Trinity on Monday.

Sydney Patterson won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, while Christen Barnes won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, and Carsen Baumgardner won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
The Lady Trojans' No. 1 doubles team of Lauren Davis/Baylee Turner won 6-0, 6-2, and the No. 2 team of Ella Oxley/Raquel Kallab prevailed 6-0, 6-0.
North Hall will play host to Blessed Trinity on Monday at Chattahoochee Country Club in Gainesville.
