LAGRANGE, Ga. — The North Hall boys advanced to the Class 4A semifinals with a tough 3-2 win over LaGrange on the road on Wednesday.
It's the first trip to the semifinals for the North Hall boys since 2016.
The Trojans move on to play the Westminster-Bainbridge winner for a spot in the finals. Westminster is the defending Class 4A state champion and has won three straight titles overall (two in Class 3A).
North Hall got a pair of singles wins. Cole Grover beat Towns Weldon 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 and Jack Maddox held off Wesley Minicozzi 6-3, 7-6(5) at No. 1 singles.
The No. 2 doubles team of Easton McNair and James Floyd knocked off Benjamin Lee and Sehun Sol in a close three-set match, 6-3, 6-7(2), 6-4 to clinch the match.
