Boys tennis playoffs: NHall stages huge comeback to knock off Sonoraville

SONORAVILLE, Ga. — The North Hall boys tennis team knocked off No. 1 seed Sonoraville 3-2 on Monday to advance to the quarterfinals of the Class 4A playoffs.

Jack Maddox at No. 1 singles held on for a thrilling win at No. 1 singles 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 to clinch the match.

It was a huge rally for North Hall, who fell behind 2-0 after dropping Nos. 2 and 3 singles. But the doubles teams got the comeback started. Luis Delgado and Brooks Dorsey won 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 at No. 1 and James Floyd and Easton McNair at No. 2 doubles took a 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 victory to tie the match at 2-2, setting the stage for Maddox's big win.

The Trojans will stay on the road in the next round traveling to Lagrange. A day and time has yet to be set.
