The Flowery Branch girls tennis team advanced to the second round of the Class 5A tournament with a 3-2 win over Chapel Hill.
Richney Nguyen picked up the Lady Falcons only win in singles action, 7-5, 6-3.
Meanwhile, in doubles action, Casey Skaggs and Casey Beaver won 6-0, 6-1 to take the No. 1 doubles match, and Ava Hart and Haley Bursinger won 6-2, 6-2 in No. 2 doubles.
The girls will play the winner of Hiram-Centennial in the second round of the tournament.
The boys also advanced to the second round with a 3-1 win over Villa Rica.
