FORT WORTH, Texas — The No. 12-ranked Georgia men’s golf team stands seventh after one round of the Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational at Colonial Country Club.
On Sunday, the Bulldogs opened the event with a 5-over 285, a score matched by Oregon and Stanford. Oklahoma snared the first-round lead at 7-under 273, followed by Vanderbilt at 5-under 275 and Florida at 3-under 277.
Freshman Spencer Ralston paced the Bulldogs as he signed for a 1-under 69, three shy of tri-leaders Blaine Hale of Oklahoma, Cameron Young of Wake Forest and John Augenstein of Vanderbilt.
Seniors Jaime Lopez Rivarola and Greyson Sigg each added a 1-over 71 for the Bulldogs, while sophomore Tye Waller and freshman Trevor Phillips both carded a 4-over 74.
