GREER, S.C. — Spencer Ralston climbed 19 spots on Saturday at the BMW Charity Pro-Am Korn Ferry Tour event.
The Gainesville-native carded a 3-under 68 on the Thornblade Club move to 9-under on the tournament. At one stretch early in his round Ralston sat in the top 11.
He opened the strong posting birdies on Nos. 1, 3, 5, and 7 to get to 10-under and just six shots off the lead. He then had nine straight pars before bogeying the Par 3 17th.
Heading into Sunday, Ralston is 13 shots back of Carl Yuan of China, who took over the lead after a blistering 10-under 61 on the day.
