RALEIGH, N.C. — Spencer Ralston shot his second straight 72 on Friday at the UNC Health Championship at Raleigh Country Club. However, it was not good enough to make the cut into the weekend.
Playing in his first Korn Ferry Tour event in a month, the Gainesville native finished with a two-day total 144, which was 10 shots off the pace and two shots off the cut line of 2-over 142.
Ralston began his day at 2-over and dropped to 5-over overall after bogeys at Nos. 1, 4, and 7 to open his second round. But he rallied with birdies at 8, 9, and 11 to back to even par on the day and at the cut line.
But a bogey at 14 put him a shot off the cut and then a bogey at No. 18 put outside the cut.
It is the fourth cut he has failed to make in five events in 2024.
