Hall Co. drug agents seize two pounds of meth, stolen guns, cash in East Hall

A Gillsville man was arrested Monday after drug agents found nine guns and almost a kilogram of meth, along with other drugs, at his home.

According to Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad Lt. Scott Ware, 33-year-old William Pete Bachelor was arrested Monday by MANS agents and Felony Probation Officers following a search at his home on Highway 52.
 
Ware said agents were acting on a tip. "One of the guys recieved a complaint about him, Mr. Bachelor, and the same day coordinated with probabtion, did a search at his residence."

Agents seized 988 grams of crystal meth, along with marijuana, MDMA, Fentanyl, Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Codeine and Alprazolam.
 
"The bulk of the drug seized was the methamphetamine, almost a kilogram," said Ware. "It was over two pounds of meth, three ounces of marijuana and an assortment of pills."
 
Ware said the street value of the drugs was just over $101,000.
 
Ware also said agents found nine firearms and over $102,000 in cash in Bachelor's home.
 
"He was on probation, he has a conviction in Hall County and Barrow County, I believe, for methamphetamine possession," said Ware. "[The guns were] illegal for him to possess, plus two of them were stolen."
 
Bachelor faces nine counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, two counts of theft by receiving , false information to an officer, trafficking methamphetamine, and numerous drug possession charges.
 
Ware said Bachelor was arrested without incident.
