Body found in car pulled from Gwinnett County pond

NORCROSS, Ga. (AP) Gwinnett County police have recovered an SUV from a pond near Norcross with a body inside.

Multiple news outlets report a person spotted the vehicle Thursday and called police. Authorities responding to the scene discovered a man's body in the vehicle.

Authorities say the vehicle was upside down in a pond about 20 yards off the roadway. The driver was submerged in the water. His identity has not been released.

The vehicle was removed from the water and pulled through a dense wooded area just before 11 p.m. Police say they are not sure when the accident occurred.
