The lead changed hands eight times and Etowah (27-6) trailed 31-26 at halftime, partly because of Westside's success in transition.<br>

The Lady Seminoles led by eight late in the second period and held Etowah without a field goal the final 4:25 of the first half.. Westside (27-6) managed just 16 points in the second half, and Etowah took the lead for good on a basket by Tagan Hatchett late in the third period.<br>

``We were not doing a good job of rotating back on defense in the first half,'' said Etowah coach Bob Westbrook. ``I just told them we really needed to make a commitment to getting back. All we had to do was get one back there and we were fine.''<br>
