The Red Devils finished 29-0, extended their winning streak to 59 games and won their second straight title; Randolph-Clay won Class AA last year, but dropped to a lower classification when the GHSA realigned. Randolph-Clay has won four state championships.
``It hasn't hit me yet, said Randolph-Clay coach Joe Williams. ``We thought we had a chance to win a couple of championships. It's nice to win two in a row.''
Randolph-Clay had five to score in double figures: Shamaine Dukes with 19, Cornelius Price with 17, Rashaad Lewis with 15, Lancie Cannon with 14 and Dexter Ellington with 11.
Southwest Atlanta Christian, the defending Class A champion, was playing in the final for the third straight season. The Warriors (24-8) were led by junior Jarvaris Crittenton with 29 points.
Southwest Atlanta coach Courtney Brooks said, ``They won the hustle points. Hustle points converted into actual points and that was the difference in the game.''
Southwest Atlanta won last year's title behind Dwight Howard, who went on to become the NBA's No. 1 draft choice last spring.
