GAINESVILLE - Johnny Shields, a Hall County native, has been named Assistant District Bridge Maintenance Manager for Northeast Georgia's District One, which is based on Gainesville. <br>

Shields has worked with GDOT since 1978 and has spent his entire career in the Maintenance Division. His area of expertise is bridges. <br>
<br>
Shields supervises 20 employees and manages the maintenance on over 750 bridges and drainage structures in the 21 Northeast Georgia counties that make up District One.<br>
