WASHINGTON - Head to New Orleans this summer on the Amtrak Crescent out of Gainesville or Toccoa - and your kids can ride free.
The "Kids Ride Free" offer applies to youngsters ages 2-15 who travel with a paying adult - one for each child - between now and September 1.
The adult and child must travel together at all times and their tickets must be issued at the same time.
The offer is good only on the southern end of the Crescent's route - between Greenville, South Carolina, and New Orleans.
