By by Ken Stanford
GAINESVILLE - The Red Cross Save A Life Tour convoy rolls into Gainesville Friday.

It's expected to arrive about noon at the civic center. The campaign began in May and was created to boost public education of the nation's low blood supply and the need for more blood donors.

The convoy, is nearing the end of its six-month campaign, will be in Gainesville until about 5 p.m.

It will feature an interactive "museum" which is designed to help educate people about the need for blood donors. In addition, there will be a special blood drive.

All participants will receive commemorative Save A Life Tour T-shirts, lapel pins, and Chick-fil-A coupons.

There are actually two convoys - one operating in the eastern part of the country and one in western states.
