A death investigation is underway in Stephens County after two were found dead inside of a home on Wednesday.
The most recent update is that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s (GBI’s) Crime Lab is conducting an autopsy on both individuals as the investigation continues.
The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) reports that they were called to a residence on Rose Lane Wednesday morning for a welfare check.
When they arrived, a man and a woman were determined to be deceased inside the home.
At this time, authorities are not releasing the names of the individuals.
