Cherokee Bluff, the Class 3A state runner-up in 2024, and Jefferson, which is undefeated so far in 2025, will meet for the first time on Tuesday in a huge battle for a share of first place in Region 8-3A.
The Lady Dragons (9-0, 1-0 Region 8-3A) have outscored their early opponents 101-7 so far on the season. The Lady Bears (3-1, 1-0 Region 8-3A) are coming off a thrilling walk-off win on Monday, scoring three runs in the bottom of the seventh to beat Seckinger. However, Monroe Area (7-2, 2-0 Region 8-3A) currently sits at the top and will play host to West Hall (1-2, 0-1 Region 8-3A) on Tuesday.
But that is just one of more than a dozen key region matchups on the day around the northeast Georgia area involving eight different regions across five classifications.
North Hall (6-1, 3-0 Region 6-3A) will head to Lumpkin County (8-2, 3-0 Region 6-3A) in a true showdown for first place in Region 6-3A.
North Forsyth (5-4, 3-0 Region 6-6A) sits atop the Region 6-6A standings and travels to Lambert (5-5, 1-2 Region 6-6A) on Tuesday.
