A Flowery Branch man was arrested this past Sunday on allegations of child molestation.
A release from the Hall County Sheriff's Office said Fredy Nava Espinoza, age 36, was arrested at his home after an investigation that started in May.
"A relative of the juvenile female victim contacted the sheriff's office to report the abuse," the statement from the sheriff's office said. "The investigation has determined Mr. Espinoza on multiple occasions sexually assaulted the victim, who was under the age of 16 at the time."
The sheriff's office said the alleged abuse happened between February 2020 and January 2022, adding that Espinoza and the victim were known to each other.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Espinoza remained in the Hall County Jail without bond on one felony charge of aggravated child molestation.
