One of Storybrook's owners, Brooke Webb, told AccessWDUN an electrical fire was the cause of Friday morning's fire.
"We are very thankful and blessed to be next door to the fire station," Webb said. "[Hall County Fire Rescue was] able to maintain the electrical fire to the outlet that was in the kitchen. Everything activated and was able to minimize any damage."
Webb added that the hope is to be back to regular business on Monday.
"Our mitigation team is on site, they're cleaning up the water and we're putting in the humidifiers just to ensure there's no mold and no smoke, and everything's safe for the children so that we can hopefully resume normal business hours Monday morning," Webb said.
