The Hall County's Sheriff's Office and Student Resource Officers (SRO) are remembering the life and dedication of one of their own, four years following his passing.
The Hall County Sheriff's Office's social media post on Monday reiterated that Deputy Christopher Jay Bachelor died from complications of COVID-19 on Aug. 25, 2021, having served the Hall County Sheriff's for 14 years at the time of his death. While he worked as a jailer and a warrant service deputy during his tenure with HCSO, he found his true calling as a school resource officer.
The students and staff members at Flowery Branch High School, Davis Middle School, Flowery Branch Elementary and Friendship Elementary knew SRO Bachelor as a part of their school family. The HSCO social media post added that Davis Middle School honors a student at each grade level every year with the Bachelor Memorial Award. The award is presented to students who exemplify courage, character and commitment.
You can see more about the tribute to SRO Bachelor through the HCSO Facebook Page post.
