By Caleb Hutchins Assistant News Director

One person was injured after a single-vehicle crash near Flowery Branch Tuesday morning.

The Georgia State Patrol reported that the wreck happened just before 9:30 a.m. on Cash Road near Elizabeth Lane. A Dodge Ram pickup truck was heading south on Cash Road when the crash happened.

"The driver of the Dodge was traveling too fast for the rainy conditions, causing to fail to maintain her lane of travel," the report from the state patrol said. "The Dodge left the right side of the roadway, before striking a culvert. After striking the culvert, the Dodge became airborne before striking a second culvert. After striking the second culvert, the Dodge overturned and came to final rest upside down."

The driver of the truck reportedly suffered only minor injuries. The crash left Cash Road shut down for part of Tuesday morning's commute.
