A Flowery Branch man was arrested, and over one kilogram of methamphetamine was seized during a drug investigation this week.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said James Rondy Andrews, 50, was pulled over Monday afternoon for failing to maintain his lane at the intersection of Hog Mountain and Capitola Farms Road.

During the stop, the deputy’s K9 alerted to drugs in the vehicle. The vehicle was searched, and nearly 22 grams of methamphetamine were found inside.

HCSO Special Investigations Unit investigators responded to interview Andrews. Investigators learned that more meth was at Andrews’ home in the 7000 block of Sleepy Lagoon Way.

Andrews was detained, and a search of his home uncovered nearly one kilogram of meth, three handguns and 105 grams of marijuana. The reported street value of the drugs is estimated at $3,200.

Andrews was then arrested for felony charges, including trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, 3 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute possession of marijuana.

Andrews was taken to the Hall County Jail, where he is held without bond.
