Brenau University began classes on Aug. 18, and campuses are busy with an expected first-day total enrollment of 2,436 students.
University officials said their expected enrollment included 1,336 undergraduate students, with 345 new first-year and transfer students, which marks Brenau’s largest first-year student intake on record.
The enrollment data was based on a head count as of August 18. The number will not be finalized until after the drop/add period on August 25.
Brenau University starts the year at full capacity for residential students, with over 450 beds filled. The majority of students moved into residence halls on the historic Gainesville Campus between August 13 and 17, while student-athletes, international students, and student leaders arrived earlier in the month.
