An outbuilding behind a home was declared a total loss after a Tuesday afternoon fire in Union County.
The Union County Fire Department responded to the fire on Mason Farm Road at 2:50 p.m.
When units arrived, the outbuilding was fully engulfed in flames. The home was nearly 40 to 50 feet away from the outbuilding, and it suffered exterior damage.
Units eventually extinguished the fire, but 90-degree temperatures at the time of the fire made the attack challenging.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
