GAINESVILLE, Ga. — East Forsyth has promoted PJ Davis to head coach of the boys' and girls' track teams.
EaFo athletics director Matt Hollis announced on Thursday.
“Our track program is off to a great start," Hollis said. "We are fortunate to have someone like Coach Davis to take over leadership of the track program at East."
Davis began his tenure at East Forsyth as an assistant football coach in 2022. Before that, he was an assistant football coach and track coach at Gainesville High School.
In 2019, he became co-head coach with Rich Corbett at Gainesville. From 2019 to 2022, the two sent 50 athletes to sectionals and 29 to the state finals.
Since coming to East Forsyth, Davis has been an assistant track coach and the head coach of the school's fishing team.
"I'm looking forward to working with our athletes and the community," Davis said.
