A Young Harris woman was arrested on Thursday, Mar. 10 on methamphetamine possession charges after a traffic stop on HWY 66 in Towns County.
The Towns County Sheriff’s Office said Drug Investigators and the Georgia State Patrol searched the vehicle of Christy Tallent, 37, and found methamphetamine.
Tallent was charged with several felonies including two counts of possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine.
She was also charged with seven misdemeanors including sale, distribution, or possession of dangerous drugs, DUI driving under the influence of drugs, driving on the wrong side of the road, drivers to exercise due care, speeding and adult restraint law seat belt.
Tallent is being held at the Towns County Detention Center with no bond.
