Loganville man arrested in Flowery Branch on drug charges, driving without license

A Loganville man was arrested in Flowery Branch after a traffic stop led officers to finding drugs and that the man was driving without a driver’s license.

According to the Flowery Branch Police Department (FBPD), the traffic stop happened at around 5 p.m. on Wednesday near Phil Niekro Boulevard and Thurmon Tanner Parkway for a taillight violation. 

During the stop, the officer determined that 58-year-old Richard Riales did not have a driver’s license. 

A K-9 was deployed during the stop, leading to officials reportedly finding methamphetamine, fentanyl, and marijuana. 

Riales was arrested and charged with three misdemeanors including driving without a valid driver’s license, missing taillight, and possession of marijuana. He was also charged with two felony counts of possession of meth and possession of fentanyl.

Riales remains in the Hall County Jail on $5,260 bond.
