Buford man arrested after allegedly groping NGMC nurse

By Will Daughtry News Reporter

A Buford man is facing charges after allegedly groping a nurse at Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Braselton.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) reports that 69-year-old Donald James Lavoie was taken to the Hall County Jail on Saturday on a sexual battery charge.

Authorities were called to the hospital Friday to investigate the complaint.

The investigation determined that the woman nurse was in the room occupied by Lavoie trying to put a blood pressure cuff on him when he allegedly grabbed her buttocks.

Lavoie also reportedly directed sexual comments toward the nurse.

He remained under medical care until Saturday when he was transported from the hospital to the jail.

He remains in the Hall County Jail on a $5,700 bond.
