Week 5 of high school football had some very interesting outcomes as we approach the halfway point of the regular season.
Lakeview scored with six seconds left to take down George Walton, 34-31, improving to 5-0 for the first time in program history. Buford went down to Douglas County and took a victory, 31-14.
In Region 6-3A, North Hall took the opener over Chestatee in the Battle for Highway 60, 28-14, while White County got their first region win as well, defeating Pickens, 24-7. Lumpkin County fell to GAC, 19-13.
Gainesville couldn't get things going down at Carrollton in a 45-16 loss, while Jefferson was shut out by North Oconee, 35-0. North Forsyth won their rivalry game over South Forsyth in dominating fashion, 49-14.
