Football: Cherokee Bluff blanks Banks County

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – After a slow start to the game, Cherokee Bluff's offense came to life in a 42-0 win over Banks County Friday night.

The Bears had seven players rush for a combined 153 yards, led by Jackson Pirkle's 65 yards and a score. Brooks Brien threw for 98 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Banks County was led by Aucy Jacobs on the ground, who rushed 45 yards on eight touches. The Leopards tallied just 107 yards of total offense.

The Bears are off next week before opening Region 8-3A play at Oconee County in two weeks. Banks County will open region play next week at home against Rabun County.
